Dr. Dennison Bhola earned his Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s prestigious Quantitative and Qualitative Psychometric Methods program, and has a stellar record as a researcher, educator and mentor at all levels. As a university professor, he taught Research Methods, Statistics and Educational Measurement to students pursuing Master’s and Doctoral degrees at the following institutions: The University of Nebraska- Lincoln, James Madison University (Virginia), NOVA Southeastern University (Florida), and Oasis Institute of Higher Learning (Trinidad and Tobago). Dennison’s research is published in a range of scholarly journals and he has made numerous conference presentations. During the past three decades, Dennison has served the following organizations as a senior leader: The Gallup Organization (Global Director of Selection Practice); HUMANeX Ventures (Vice-President and Senior Research Director); and, Assessment, Learning and Technology Solutions (President and CEO). In all of these roles, he demonstrated the ability to develop people, build collaborative teams, improve processes, create innovations, and facilitate win-win outcomes. As an international consultant, Dennison has helped leaders and organizations to grow and build significant legacies. His client list includes Southwest Airlines, Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, Bank of Montreal, Marriott Hotels, Stryker, WMed, and Western Michigan University’s Medical Residents program. He has equipped his clients with assessments, models and strategies for personnel selection, people development, employee engagement, culture building, succession planning, and organizational transformation. In his role as Solutions Facilitator, Dennison communicates with leaders and organizations on behalf of the TEH. He discusses the TEH’s vision, mission, values, strategic plan and implementation plans while promoting collaboration and facilitating the creation of win-win solutions. With a passion for making eyecare services more accessible and affordable for the underprivileged, his vision, mission and values align well with those of the Trinidad Eye Hospital (TEH). Locally, Dennison has forged organization to organization relationships with the Diabetes Association of Trinidad and Tobago (DATT), the Trinidad and Tobago Optometrist Association (TTOA), Lions Clubs of Trinidad and Tobago, and Rotary District 7030 (Trinidad and Tobago). He is in the process of establishing open lines of communication with the Trinidad and Tobago Blind Welfare Association, the Trinidad and Tobago Medical Association, the Trinidad and Tobago Red Cross, The Ministry of Health, Regional Health Authorities, local doctors, optometrists and professors at local universities. Internationally, on behalf of the TEH, he has consolidated organization to organization relationships with the John A. Moran Eye Center (University of Utah) and the Aravind Eye Care System (India) securing expertise, equipment and continuing education for eyecare providers including certified ophthalmic assistants, opticians, optometrists and ophthalmologists. He is currently in communication with the Royal College of Ophthalmology (UK), international experts in Diabetic Retinopathy Screening, professors of ophthalmology, and eye surgeons from around the globe. Dr. Dennison Bhola was born in Trinidad where he invested the first chapter of his professional career as a high school teacher of physics, chemistry and mathematics at the Siparia Senior Comprehensive School, and later at Presentation College, San Fernando. He also proactively served these communities doing volunteer work through his church, various sporting clubs, and as a member of the Trinidad and Tobago Jaycees. This year, Dennison and his wife Wendy will celebrate their 40th Wedding Anniversary. They have 2 thoughtful grandchildren and are the proud parents of four intelligent adults who are responsible citizens and protectors of the planet.
